UPDATED Sierra Flying Sat 13th with BCP members

Lowrider, Splashpilot and Aktahoe will be leaving Truckee in the am just after the pancake breakfast for the course. If anyone would like to join, the weather is looking good!

Pancakes start up at 8am at the EAA building here in Truckee. Will be flying by 9 or 10.

Re: Sierra Flying Sat 13th

If "the course" should include some of the "dry" lakes, there's been a heap of rain over the past few days - - with much of it unevenly distributed with real downpours in spots.

In case I'm up, 'bout what time are you gonna be heading out and what frequency?

Shoot, I don't think I can make it up there in the Stearman, plus it'd be a pretty frickin chilly ride. We were planning on bfast at Auburn.

8-10 at the EAA building. We will be on 119.00 if we are not there, but betting we are still there. We will be 3 180's. Lots of good fun in the Sierra Valley and just north.

Will be great to see you guys!

Re: UPDATED Sierra Flying Sat 13th with BCP members

Thanks Aktahoe1 and low rider . . . good flying, fun, and photos. Plan to come up your way again to see the back 9. Sorry to bail mid-course with a semi-locked up left main. Got back to Minden and set it down on the dirt runway, right first then then touched the left gingerly and it turned freely.

Back at the hangar, took it apart and no real problem evident, so must have been brake caliper pins sticking. Will finish brakes and repack both sides today.

BTW, I've never seen sheep move that fast or stampede through a barbed wire fence before. Did they manage to round them all up? Onthegas should be ashamed of himself

Re: UPDATED Sierra Flying Sat 13th with BCP members

Was a good time! We need to do it more often.

Weather looks good all week if anyone is interested.

Here is a good shot of Bumper launching from hole 4 yesterday...

And then of course there is always something cool about seeing your own airplane fly.
