Upgrade your computers. New GoPro HERO4.

Ooof! $499 for the Black. Image samples look off the chart though. 4K resolution and super high frame rates are just a few of the improvements among many others. I wish I could swap this baby into my Backbone Ribcage without having to scrub in.

Yes, I'm a GoPro fanboy. Been waiting for this.

Heavy use of RC multi-rotors to get these shots... Apparently foreign civil aviation authorities aren't cracking down like the FAA.

On paper, the Silver edition looks like a pretty sweet package if you don't need 120 fps or 4K. At least for me 4K seems a little...much. It also has a touch screen which seems useful. It'll be interesting to see some real-world reviews once they are available. Pretty amazing stuff!

I just shot a program in AZ on the Fall wagon (weaning) last week. Put GoPro 3's on the cowboys and sent them out on the range. Going to be some gut churning viewing (take dramamine and ginger pills before watching!) but there are some really gem shots hidden in there at first glance through. Great stuff! 8)

In Canada multi rotors (UAVs) not regulated if under 27 pounds and in private ops. Above that weight and commercial applications requires a Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC) issued by Transport Canada (Canadian FAA).

Yikes...the ice climbers on the iceberg have some cajones and must have calves of steel.

I've been holding off getting a new GoPro..this might just be the one to add to my equipment.

Some real-world tests are starting to come in. Here's a side-by-side comparison of the Hero4 Silver and Hero4 Black at 1080p, 24FPS. Image quality looks identical to me, except for a lower exposure setting and higher saturation maybe on the Silver. Probably just a configuration thing.

BTW, this guy has produced *tons* of great videos about the gopro line. Anyone who wants to learn more would do themselves a favor to check his stuff out. And it's doubly cool since he's deaf and as managed to become a very popular video maker despite lacking the ability to speak clearly or even select his own background music. Highly recommended.
