Used tires

Has anyone bought used tires from Cub Crafters? I got a real good quote on an email, called and confermed the price, ordered 2 sets, received one set and a huge credit card bill. Its Friday night so Im sure I wont find out anything until Monday. Wanted to install them this weekend but not at that price. I know someone here must have some experience with them.

Re: Used tires

What make/model tires, and what price? If you're talking 850x6's on down, unless they're at giveaway prices it seems like false economy to buy used (aka partially worn out) tires.

Re: Used tires

I have had good luck with buying tires from these guys. Don't know if they can get the real big ones but there prices on new tires are pretty good.

Re: Used tires

Dont know what happened at Cub Crafters but they under quoted the price of the tires, 8.50x6s and 800x6s, I had expected to pay shipping on top of that quote, but now they say that was just the quote for shipping and handling. After billing me they didnt even compleate the order, just as well because they wanted more than I was willing to pay for used tires, no balance point remaining, no tags, etc. Got an email saying that everything would be taken care of go ahead and install. While putting in the last cotterpin the phone rings saying that the bill stands. WTF! Talked to a manager, he admits thier mistake. Settled for my price after I stompped around for 10 mins. I feel the price was good for me, they probably dont feel it was good for them. It took a while for them to figure out there was a problem but once they did they worked to resolve it. It took some of the joy out of seeing my stead with big tires.
