Anyone know the dates of the fly-in this year? The 2nd week in May after the Airmen's Conference? Looking forward to being there this year. Anyone else going?

Matt,
You flying up or driving?? I'm interested in going, but I'd like to fly 04D. I have a sister who has a small restaurant at the Valdez airport and says I need to get up there and take in the great show. Also, I'd like to hear about your trip to Alaska last year...we should have a mini fly-in at Big Bar and you could fill me in on your trip.

Hate to tell ya but that was last year's flyer, May 8-10 2009. Haven't been able to find out the definite dates this year, but my money is for around Mother's Day as it usually is.

Wow, good catch. I can't believe they don't have this on their current schedule already.

It is usually the weekend following the Airmen's Tradeshow in Anchorage, which is May 1-2 this year. If they hold to tradition, Valdez should be May7-9 this year. Hopefully they'll update their website soon. I'm planning on flying over from Wasilla. Anyone else?

Weather permitting, I plan on going over from Anchorage probably.

I plan on being there. Its usually a great time, as long as the weather doesn't get too nasty.

I plan on being there. I'd like to compete this year. Might take the 140 and see how she does in the STOL comp.
But it would be fun to try the Sportsman to. I hate decisions
