I have been thinking about getting a vertical card compass and was wondering if it would legally replace the liquid float type compass.

Small Tail
No sweat on the vertical card compass. I had it done recently and love it.
Always hated trying to turn to a compass heading.
Nice thing is that the vertical compass tracks real close to your directional gyro.
Only problem comes with the amount of effort required to do a new compass DEVIATION card with a tailwheel plane.
Some claim it can be done easier on a calm morning using a GPS unit.
