Video: de Havilland Dreams

I thought about calling this "Beaver Dreams" but you know how some people's minds work. Select 1080p for best viewing.

Enjoy.

Great video, you did not ruin it with obnoxious music. There were multiple scenes, pretty scenery and....a Beaver! Very well done and fun to watch.

Only complaint is the pilots hat, Blackhawks. #-o

Go Bruins!

The book on your chest in the video, "Flying a Floatplane, by Marin Faure" is by far the most comprehensive and best book about seaplane flying I've ever read. One of my favorites!

Great video, too!

Top of the "Floatplane Foodchain". Very connected. Fluid video. Eh?

If you need a dock hand and/or somebody to clean the floats, call. :D :D :D

I wonder if the good folks at de Havilland said, "Here's a really great airplane design, let's go find an engine for it", or "Wow, what a great engine. Let's build an airplane around it."

It's questions such as these that fuel my afternoon naps.

I heard it was the first. The original engine didn't get certified and they ended up going with the radial. I'm sure someone here will tell the whole story.
