This is a place north of Flagstaff. It's on a lava flow adjacent to a 500ft cinder cone. The length of the strip is 600ft, but is effectively increased by slope, which is quite steep at the top. The elevation at the top is 7200msl. On the day we took these pictures two Pacers, three Super Cubs, and a tricycle gear Kitfox landed. Everyone landed safely, but I wouldn't recommend this strip for anything with little tires. The small bush on the left is the touchdown spot. An interesting element of this strip is that on T/O there is no forward visibility due to the slope. It is necessary to pick a spot on the next hill over and aim at the spot until you get your tail up.
Again there are more photos in my album
