Warbird "How To" P-38

One of my students sent me this link to Jeff Ethell demo-ing a P-38. Nice video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3nddCJbcdI

Re: Warbird "How To" P-38

That is a great video. He seemed to know the airplane. His accident in the sister-ship was a shock.
I remember I was going to see the P-38's at an upcoming Tillamook airshow, but it was cancelled after the accident.
The owner had been sourcing parts for two P-38's for decades in So Cal. I have seen pictures where he literally had a barn full of NOS P-38 parts. engines, two airframes, etc. My understanding was the museum owner in Tillamook did the deal where he would restore one to factory new condition for the other one.
It was a real shame.

It makes for an interesting human factors discussion.
