Watch out for KTOR Torrington Wyo

the Av-Web price has been 4.35 for along time,
Its close to $6.00, and they are not very friendly,
In spite of the price, they act like anyone landing there is from NYC.
I tried to crack a joke and 4 guys in the lounge just stared at me..
not even a smile for paying this price ? he he
It won't happen again, My fault, I should have called,
happy day

Re: Watch out for KTOR Wyo

I'm with you winger. You know they are ripping us off when 20 miles away it can be a $1.71 less.

Today I am going to fuel for the trip home. I can get it cheaper if I don't fly today and get it at Big Bear for $5.18 I'll save $30.00 if I don't fly today.

This is getting bad. I am now at $70.00 an hour fuel burn. 13.5 GPH Thank goodness for mogas at home.

I am getting real good at searching for cheap gas. Flight Guide and AirNav really help.

Good day...Rob

On the way home we got delayed in Gunnison, CO and paid $6.60 gal. They we pretty kind and let us use the courtesy car for a few hours while my Stinson dripped oil all over their ramp so it didn't sting so bad. The receipt for 22 gal and a qt of oil made my jaw drop a little though. I won't complain too much as they have a dirt rwy (large regional airport) and it was nice to get home.

Also go to 100ll.com and report a new price. It still says 4.20 over there.

Re: Watch out for KTOR Torrington Wyo

Geeze Winger..some of our guys from BFF usually go there to fuel because it is so much lower than BFF..musta been the wrong time of the month or something. I'll do some inquiring about this. Just talked to a flying buddy of mine from BFF and he said this does not sound like the manager (Name withheld). I just checked AirNav and it said $5.60 for KTOR, BFF $6.18. Sorry you had a bad experience in our neck of the woods Winger. We at SNY are $5.99, $5.98 cash.

Get a bigger lawyer and sue em back for false advertising. Airnav was showing 4.20 this morning now they're showing 5.60 pg

You should have stopped at Pine Bluffs to the south, they're not listed as having fuel but they do. They were at $3.95 a gallon for a long time. But I think it just went up to $4.60 or something like that.

Ouch. If only you coulda made it over to Salida or down to Monte Vista. They usually have good avgas prices. I paid $4.75 at MVI last week. I guess that's good... anymore... #-o . But that can be false economy too. If it adds 45 mins to the trip, and that Frank burns 10gph... you'd pay about $145 to fill the tanks anyway. So might as well save the time and enjoy getting the full service.

Ye, but if he went to MVI, he could have run over to the Hooper Hot Springs and some Chili Rellenos and a dip, making it all worth while again.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

I dont mind but they should be honest what they post.
We wanted to do this Fly-in last year but the wx was worse.
The FBO doesn't consider or don't care that we flight plan for fuel stops, terain,wx. 83 Gl. gas with camping gear, coolers, gun /amo for the range added weight but fun..We had a great time

Don't know where 100LL.com gets their pricing but the info for my home airport is a month out of date. I even notified them of the new price three weeks ago and they did not change it.

www.airnav.com seems to be a bit more reliable. Not sure which reporting service they use.

What fuel price services are out there?

Hey guys, don't forget Leadville, I think their still at $4.40. I try to support them when I can. If I fly over from Kremmling, ($5.00) it's about a wash, save 60 cents, but burn the savings up, over and back.
