My Ducati and 500HP Benz already fly so I think that's a good idea!

The best, so far, coating we have found is a product called RejeX. It is a polymer coating not a wax but goes on very easy and comes off just as easy. It seems to last a whole season outside and the bugs and dirt simply wash off. Not sure of its use with a fabric plane but perhaps try a small area and waite and see.

I do my just my LE's and lift struts with RejeX, once in the spring. In fact, will hit it today as it's raining and I have nothing better to do. Seems to help make the bugs easier to get off, but I rarely wash the plane all summer anyway, maybe once, twice at most. As long as the windshields clean I don't much care. I clean the LE's and struts much more often though.

Sounds like my schedule. I'm going to wash and wax this weekend to remove the bugs and grime from last years flight to Oshkosh.

We have used RejeX on our fabric airplanes (both metal and fabric areas) for years...good product.

What about simple green on a fabric plane? I use it on my metal plane all the time.

We never use it on motorcycles. Corrosive to aluminum.

This is why our company exists. We realized there was a gap in the market for things that were safe for airplanes *and* worked well.
