Weight and Balance App

I fly a 1956 182. Am looking for a weight and balance app that I can customize. I will have to customize for expended baggage, Firewall mounted battery, jump seats and 310 nose fork.

Just looking at droid apps.

Re: Weight and Balance App

Here is a website with a 180 W&B calculator: http://trumpetb.net/alph/wb180.html All the limits should be the same as your 182. Just put in your empty weight and moment and you're good to go. There isn't a space for extended baggage but you can change the arm for the regular baggage and it will work. This isn't an app but you can save it for offline use. They have one for the 170B and I use it from my iPhone and iPad.

Nice but I why his empty weight is over 250 pounds more that the factory empty of 1550.

Re: Weight and Balance App

On my android tablet I have a free app called E6B+, it does all the planning math you can think of, and a few others. It has a wieght and balance function that you can save multiple aircraft profiles to with your individual numbers.

Re: Weight and Balance App

I see you are looking for a droid app, which I can't help you with, sorry. But if any iOS users are reading this because of the thread title, I am really happy with Aviation W&B.
Good luck finding one for droid that you like.

Re: Weight and Balance App

For droid try Weight& Balance by Yeno, which is what I use for my 170B. You will have to define your aircraft weight and balance envelope and enter empty weight, max takeoff (gross), max landing (I entered my utility limit here), and moment arm for each load area (front seat, rear seat, baggage). I think you can define a Baggage A and Baggage B separately to accommodate an extended baggage. I haven't installed an extended baggage yet so haven't tested this yet.

When I got my extended baggage kit from Selkirk there was a sheet figuring it in. Suggest you get ahold of Selkirk and see if they have a on line version .

I use NextGen (NGS) weight and balance app. Easily customized for battery moves, extended baggage, etc.

Re: Weight and Balance App

appventive weight and balance for droids, I have been really happy with it, I can customize it for my float lockers, three seating rows and all the variations thereof, downside is that it costs 10 dollars. But I have been really happy with it especially the graphic envelope. I think there is a free trial version, but it won't save all your customization.

I use this webpage which works great if the aircraft listed are adaptable to your plane. I have a A185F and I use the 185D template. My gross weight is more but the graph plot still shows whether I'm in CG or not. And it's free! http://trumpetb.net/alph/

Well that is what I downloaded and it looks good. In edit mode i was able to copy the weight and balance envelope. Next step is to enter the arm reference points for fuel, seating and baggage. That info is not found in the POH. Where can I get this for a 1956 182?

I use WnB Pro. It is an iPhone App and it works great. Very customizable and very quick to use... Not sure if there is a Droid version.
