West Circuit Flying and Breakfast (with pics!)

We will be going to Petaluma for breakfast at the Two Niner Diner at 8AM tomorrow. Afterwards we are going to hit some strips on the west circuit. Anyone is welcome to join us. Lodi will be the back up if Petaluma has fog. Rob 307two5six60fourtyfive

Now that work has lightened up a bit I was looking forward to tagging along with you guys. Then my wife says "can you watch the kids tomorrow?" Ugh. I guess there is always next time.

Re: West Circuit Flying and Breakfast

We had a nice breakfast at Lodi then got to hit a few strips before it got really hot. High today in Sacramento is supposed to be 108! We had 4 planes and lots of fun, it was nice meeting you Doug.

Here are a couple crappy cell phone pics, left the good camera at home.

Nice Rob!! I can't wait to get back and do some flying. My bird has been in the Hangar since Idaho... sucks!

Re: West Circuit Flying and Breakfast (with pics!)

Yea there will some jumping, not alot but some. Mostly the family just outgrew the 180. We used to take trips when the kids were small but they don't stay small that long. 206 is no spring Chicken when it comes to takeoff from the small scary places so I'm going to have to cutback on the small scary places and focus on the longer landing zones . Soon as I can figure out how to land a nosewheel I'll be in Bussines!Fall flying season is coming soon and when Quinners plane is done it's game on!

That's a spooky looking couple of tall-ass towers in the background! The only time I see towers that high up in the air around here, they have a mountain under them.

It's not the towers that is spooky it's the 1000ft guy wires that are totally invisible that hold them up! We lost a crop duster pilot on a wire recently in this area and he knew they were there! For some reason the vis is always crappy through that corridor too.
