What is a trip report?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

What is a trip report?

For preparation, planning purposes, or to meet up with fellow BCPers, please use the Events/Fly-ins and Trip Planning forum.

A trip report, or "TR" for short, is a travelogue of a trip or adventure, reported after it has happened, or possibly while it is happening. It's a story of your adventure, and ideally it includes photos, videos, maps, relevant links, and a timeline of events as detailed as is appropriate for the adventure. Storytelling is a uniquely human practice that transcends cultures, time, and history, and endears a reader to the adventurer, both strengths and weaknesses. I enjoy reading the writer's perspective and insight beyond the obvious report of events.

The objective is threefold: To inspire your fellow aviators, to introduce us to new locations and uses for an airplane, and to show off your adventure and make us 9-5 desk-dwellers jealous.

Some good examples:
Day Trip to Idaho by grassstrippilot
Tangri-la May 2010 Fly-in by grassstrippilot
Oregon, Idaho, Washington Adventure by highroad
Johnson Creek Adventure by Skylane
