Anyone been into Moose Creek recently? I'm thinking about doing a weekend trip there the weekend of the 16th, 17th of May, weather permitting.

Two years ago I was at Moose Creek on the 17th of May and it was really nice. There was a old guy with a C180 there who said he comes every year around that time because the flying in nice and no one is around.
I watch
this site to see how the weather is doing in the area. Selway lodge is up stream from Moose.

Wagonwrench and I are planning on checking out Moose Creek and Shearer this weekend, among others. Wx looks decent for the weekend though a bit cool. I will give you a PIREP early next week when we get back.

Yeah, take pictures, videos, and some notes, then post to the airstrip database at
shortfield.com, so we have the information "archived" and easily searchable!

Moose Creek has been open for over a month. The short runway was open last time I was in there, but the long one should be open now. Grass is green, and the wolves have left plenty of obstacles on the runways.
