That was pretty cool. However, what if the bomber was shot down then how do the fighters get home. Or what if some bombers and some fighters got shot down and then for the return home there was only one one wingtip left to couple to and there were either 2 of the same pilots or you had the plane with the other coupling.. Suppose hopscotching planes on couple would be the only chance to get more fighters than bombers home.
