Where are you touristas now?

Ahh, life in Alaska. Saturday night saw winds to 70mph at my house as a Pineapple Express blew into the area. That means above freezing temps and rain on the snow we already have. If that wasn't enough the fan turned back on Sunday afternoon with winds blowing 50 gusting to 80 at the low elevations. Sweet. Power's been out for 20 hours. Now there's 6 inches of new heavy snow, breezy, and snowing hard. Gotta love it. Two airplanes parked outside keeps life exciting on days like this.

Merry Christmas from a guy about to take a bucket bath with a headlamp!

Hey SB, at least it keeps all the crazy people out...err maybe in?

Good luck up there. it's a balmy 36 here this morning, broken skies and a few light gusts. Probably be raining and snowing by mid - afternoon.

But GB, that weather is normal for your neck of the woods. Its also above freezing here in the Wrangell Mountains. Last month we had record lows . Go figure.

Now you're talkin! =D> =D> A truly Alaska experence.

We missed the rain, temps hovered around 30. Just made the snow stick to everything the wind blew it against. My plane looked looked a powered donut. So far, through all the storms we have had recently, she's still were i left her [-o< . Looks like we got almost 2 feet of snow in the last week (what hasen't blown away).

Still, a bad day here is better than a good day anywhere else 8)
