Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

DBI - Did you notice if there was anyplace to eat near there??

Yes- I walked across the street to the "Hangar Cafe" and had a nice cheeseburger. Friendly folks at the airport (LNP) also.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Now I am bragging. A beautiful recently divorced veterinarian from Brazil, that is who I flew around all day! We did gravel bars, hill tops, and we did them in both airplanes. And to top that off, my wife ok'd the whole thing! jg

PS: Greg, she is only here two more weeks. She could be our poster girl, but I need someone to hold the lights and do make up??

Your son might have his PPL and 2 engineering degree's and all the willing that a person can have, BUT I think he might be lacking in ground school and flight hours to fly this one!! Looks like you would need a high performance sign off and also a tail-wheel endorsement >>

Re: Where did you fly today?

As part of my build-a-plane campaign, I've been hard at work for the last few days on a 8x12 garden shed. My garage is slowly becoming the airplane laboratory I have been planning for. So...been flying a circular saw and a hammer. :)

Not sure who was towing whom. But, yes, that was John. (aka Skypony)
Drop one of us a line and we will meet you there. It'll be a lot nicer in the cool weather.

It's got a 2x4 fuselage with a combo plywood and OSB skin, flush stapled for minimum parasite drag.
