Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flew out to strait tail's job today to make sure he was working hard.......he wasn't, more concerned about airplanes. :D
North wind...didn't have to deal with the power lines.

While looking over Dave's handy work I here the train horn.....SHIT, (what are the odds of a train out here) on the run thinking, how close am I?

First time in here also, I haven't met this guy yet, he flys an ultralight from this strip.

Flew here a couple of weeks ago, just a couple of miles from my place. I bid on a job for him and found out he flys a T206 with a Robinson STOL, didn't take long to get to the good stuff.......lets build an airstrip! It could be a nice one, approx. 1500ft long.

The videos work for me Terry.

I made a few practice landings yesterday. Our neighbor has a little girl who is in love with airplanes and ponies. She couldn't stand watching from the living room window, so her dad brought her out to watch up close. Needless to say, they were given a ride and it sure made their day. ;)

Re: Where did you fly today?

My buddy and I made it out for a little bit yesterday afternoon after the fog burned off. We both have early 172's that are only a couple hundred serial numbers apart. Please don't shun us, tailwheel conversions and lycomings are on both of our wish lists! Somehow I'm always too excited about going flying to remember my wife's nice camera so here's another iphone pic.

Haha. You know that saying about what fat girls and scooters have in common, right? :) You probably aren't thinking about where the little wheel is when you're up there, and that's all that matters.

Got Zane to be my safety pilot and shot 6 approaches at Aurora. The wx was better than I expected so flying was in order.

Thanks Z next lunch on me.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Took my youngest son(3yrs old) to Electric City today for a little fishing. The fishing was poor as most all of the accessable water surrounding the airport is still frozen, but we had a great day with a little hiking and flying. The courtesty car had a dead battery so breakfast was a hershey bar and a coke from the well stocked pilot lounge. Thanks to the people at electric city who keep the facility so nice! There was even all the fixins to make a pot of coffee before fishing. Here's a few pics from the trip, the ice on the lake was pretty cool! As promised, I remember my wife's camera this trip! And I lost here lens cap, oops #-o
