Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Gahi - came across a fuzzy shot of the Cub coming up alongside one evening. Didn't have good camera.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Been getting some time in the 206. Man do I love it. The performance just continues to blow me away. Got up last night to check out the flooding we have in the area. We've gotten about 5" of rain in the past 3 weeks and it was already a very wet spring. A couple towns have been evacuated. I was trying to dig a dugout, got a little over half done and it's now full, so I guess it's done. Haha. Crazy times up here, hoping for some sunshine. Here's some pics of the flooding as well as the family loaded up on our way to see the inlaws. Did some fishing while we were there as well as practiced some short takeoffs. Half fuel and 80lbs in the plane. Hope the video uploads. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Its surprising how quiet it is. Fairly similar to my old 180.

Thanks! It was half a cm off from winning me $1050.
Ya I think so. Theres only 5 of us for now and I have 1754lb useful load, so shouldn't have a problem for a while.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Made it out to Rager USFS in central Oregon today. Really nice gravel strip, newly maintained by the RAF. Would be a nice place to camp in late spring/early fall.

Many thanks to the RAF for maintaining and bringing back these airstrips!

Wasn't today, but Thursday. Didn't really go anywhere either, just around the airport a bit. BUT, :D it was my checkride!

Finally, after too many years thinking and dreaming about being a pilot, I finally have my private pilot cert!

And then they predicted a derecho coming! So flew back to BRD and put the Cub in the hangar as a precaution. It did rain like crazy and we got a bow echo front, but not the devastating winds or hail, whew!

Have the week off with my so to fly as many forestry strips as weather will allow. Basing out of Rimbey. Anyone going anywhere along Easter slopes in Alberta?

Not backcountry, but a comfy base station and easy access to fly.
