Where is Hansen field?

It's my first time posting here.
I saw the thread about Hansen field in Snohomish, and am curious where it is. I grew up in Snohomish, soloed at Harvey, and 20 years later it's still one of my favorite places. I haven't been up there in a couple years, but I don't remember another grass strip in the valley.
On the subject of Harvey, someone told me they got rid of the grass strip. Say it isn't so.

Speedbump,

Glad to have you here! Are you a Maule driver out of DVT? I think Strata Rocketeer is also (Doug?)

There are a few WA guys on the site that should be able to tell you more about Hansen's. Sounds like they've been having Super Cub fly-ins the past couple years there.

Thanks for the welcome guys,
Yes I'm at DVT, I know Doug, he is two hangars rows south of me.
I bought my Maule a year ago and spent the whole winter recovering it. I'm embarassed to admit it, but I got burnt out, and stopped thinking straight. That's when I put it up for sale. Nobodys perfect, at least I didn't go through with selling it. Anyway, it's finished now and I'm hoping to have some photos of Arizona backcountry strips/places a plane can land for you in October.
It's a great site you have here. Nice to see so many others with an interest in backcountry flying.

Jeff, the old grass strip at Harvey's --the one that crossed the taxiway!-- is no more. It went away when they built some new hangars south of the existing hangars on the east side of the airport. The new grass strip is alongside the paved runway, on the west side. The Harvey's hauled in a bunch of fill material several years ago, rolled it, etc. It's a really nice grass strip, and they do X it out as soon as the weather turns wet and don't open it again until it's really dried out. So it's pretty much a June thru Sept show. I imagine they're trying to keep it in good condition- it wouldn't take much traffic to tear hell out of it when it's soft.
Lkike Dan said, Hanson's is just east of Harvey's. It has two grass runways, one east-west and one northeast-southwest. Nice place! I flew in there & met up with Chris in his Supercruiser a week or so after the SC fly-in last June. They do a lot of RC flying there, not too much full-sized op's (almost said "real airplanes" ), not that I've seen anway.

Hi Jeff, welcome aboard.

Dropped the muffler off to the welder today, gonna put it back on tomorrow night. You should have seen how I got the thing off, it was very clever - wished Alyce had taken a picture.

I had a leak too, Chris. Nice little crack about an inch long. Discovered it during the oil change Saturday.
