Where to find a “blue book” value?

I got a little survey from my insurance company, checking up on me. One of the blanks they want filled out is my plane’s blue book value. I never looked up such a thing when I bought my plane, kind of just asked around locally to see what people thought. Where would I find a blue book value, for free, preferably?

Thanks.

AOPA has a feature called VREF.

As a side note, I recommend that everyone join AOPA and stay current, for this organization is our loudest voice in DC, among the myriad other benefits of membership.

Re: Where to find a “blue book” value?

Aircraft values went crazy high and are now settling down. Loss of big plants (read about Jeep's Belvedere car plant), and tech jobs have cooled off buying of late. Vref pricing doesn't mean much to me as its not what is being sold. Look at the usual sources for pricing and subtract 5-10%.

Hull value is an agreement written in your policy. Everything else is noise I suppose.
