Funny you say that, the strip is very narrow and I have broke a nav light going in and out of there (on the trees) but not from that takeoff.

I owned a C170 for about 11 years, for a good part of that time I luusted after a 180 pretty badly. I never pulled the trigger because I could afford to buy one, or to operate one-- but not both. I gradually came to realize that a 180 was more airplane than I really needed or wanted and traded down/sideways from the 170 to a C150/150TD about 4 years ago. Another seat or two wuld come in handy once in a while but overall I'm still satisfied with it-- lots of fun to fly & affordable (relatvely speaking of course) to boot.

Dont think I would fit well in a 150 or 152, could be wrong, have never sat in one, what kind of performance can you get out ouf a 150/150 or 150/152?

My C150/150hp performs well, not as STOL as a supercub but does pretty well plus clips along at 125-ish. But at 6'4 it's not the airplane for you, unless you're part pretzel. I'm only 5-5 so the available headroom/legroom works for me, side-to-side space can be an issue if I have someone with me. My preferred companions shop in the petite department so usually no problem there either.
