Who knows about Rogersburg,WA.

I'm getting spooled for steelie season now and want to know about the Rogersburg strip. Unfortunately that was one that I didn't land during the S-Cub flyin at Minam. I read at one time it was closed for a environmental impact study. Thinking of using that one along with Salmon Bar, Sluice creek, and Big Bar this year.
Also if anyone has any general preferences for quality fishing between them let me know.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Roger that, thanks bro.
I think this will be my mainstay for this season as most of my trips will be in a rented 206. I am leery of going into Salmon bar not being very current in it. I also hate breaking other peoples stuff! I need my Maule or 180 so's I can pull out the stops!

When does the winter run steelhead season get going in hells canyon? I have always fished near Kooskia on the clearwater but would love to fish big bar if the fishing is good. As far as the rogersburg strip goes, it is a simple approach and smooth. Nosedraggers should not have any problem landing there.

180driver,
Things should be getting going on the Snake below Hells Canyon Dam between Oct.1 and Oct.15 from what I have been able to gather. I went up (drove) last year and fished at the Kirby Creek lodge which is on the Idaho side about halfway between Big Bar and Pittsburg landing. That was a little later in the year, like November 1-ish. Had a great time it was all jet sled drift fishing for steelies, aside from a little Sturgeon fishing when we wanted to get some more Grand Mariner and beer down! Drift fishing is so labor intensive it can really slow down the consumption. We fished all along the Big Bar area as well as Sluice creek area.
I have a friend who runs a spraying business at Nez Perce that fishes the clearwater. I haven't done that yet though.
If you are coming up from UT sometime stop at GNG for fuel and say hi.
Ask for George, if I'm not there my house is about 150 yards off the Northeast end of the runway. It's the only one up here.
If you decide to head up that way let me know, I may go too.
