Wildlife

Thought it might be fun for people to share wildlife pictures video etc. I get to see a lot of fun stuff from the air.

This was one of 2 seen on Tuesday, kinda late to be out but they were both quite fat.

We were excited to heli in Silverton — until we saw the bird. Looking like something your stoner uncle built in the garage out of four Meccano sets, a fish tank, and an AMC Pacer, this helicopter seats a pilot plus two only, making it a tricky vehicle, logistics-wise, when your group has 8 people in it. These elk were way up in the Uintah mountains in Utah on the south side, just outside of the wilderness area. They were at about 11,000ft or so.

I've never seen a white elk before. Good eyes to spot that in the snow.

Re: Wildlife

Your lion pic is really neat...rare to see one of those cagey critters out in the open for very long.
