Wait until they start chomping on "Fifi" or "Kitty" and we'll hear some real howling! I kind of think it's a bit humorous...it might change a few minds about how "wonderful" they are.

If there is only one, and it's a male they better hope there will be no hybrid coyote/wolf crosses. I watched a Nat Geo documentary two weeks ago that researched the first adult human kill by coyotes, possibly three working together, that killed a Canadian folk singer by the name of Taylor Mitchell. This was in Nova Scotia in '09. The coyotes were later shot and ID'd as the ones that attacked her. Their heads were wider than a coyote and the DNA showed wolf genetics mixed in with coyote. This was thought to explain their aggressive nature combined with her running from them, likely triggering the chase and attack response. Be careful what you protect, California.

Hell, the coyotes are already eating babies down in LA! Needs to be more of 'em!

We heard wolves during the night and woke up to this scene on the lake in front of our house the next morning (Dec 30th). It did not take them long to eat this buck. The whole scene was spelled out in the snow, wolves chased the deer out of the bush, onto the lake and in the first two hundred feet I started see hair and blood, by the time it had went 400 feet, they had it down and it was all over. I wonder why my deer herd seems to have thinned out?

Would be nice to have a few down here for a few weeks and then round then up and send them back.

I'll trade you a few for some deer. At the rate the deer have been dissapearing the last three years, I may be forced into coming south to use my landowner tag in order to get any shooting in.

One radio tagged wolf, 30 or 40 sneaky ones

The mountain lion have really deminished the deer herd in Kalifornia. Not much left for the wolf. I guess they still have cattle to live off of.

We need a wolf ID law. There's too much predation fraud going on. I'll bet if a Tyrannosaurus Rex showed up outside of Chicago one night there'd be a move to classify them as endangered.
