Or, order the battery bracket from Atlee Dodge, and save some money. These have to be field approved anyway, and Atlee's kit includes very good instructions. Great batteries, but shop around, folks.

Mine uses a different mount system -easy to install and I have 110+ field approvals . Price for mine is higher but you get everything included. Burls in Alaska started this -Atlee Dodge sells Burls box.

How much for just the battery? And is it the same battery (except in name) as the Odyssey?

You can buy a battery SBS-J16 from Aircraft Spruce for a little less than 200 bucks. I don't sell just the battery there included with the kits I sell. The SBS-J16 is PMA/STC's on Pipers PA-18 -PA-12 . Most of the experimental guys use the PC680 Battery virtually identical for about 1/2 the cost.

Re: Working Adventure to Washington

The cheaper battery is not the same battery, though. Besides the fact that the SBS J16 battery is tso'd, it also has a VERY different case--as in much thicker metal, and a much stronger, solider battery. This is one case where I'd stick with the tso'd battery, not because of the tso, but because it's a better product.
