That's really cool!! I still dream about building a detailed HO model railroad layout someday. I would like to add a couple of airports, too. Just a small paved one for small jets and with fiber optic runway and taxi lighting and a small grass strip with a Cub or two.

Re: worlds smallest working airport?

At 400' long I thought MINE was the "smallest airport". :D

Just the other day I got a letter from the Feds: "Private Airport Data Survey". I need/must(?) report on the official inventory and conditions for my facility, what navaids are avaible, any unicom frequency, type of lighting and other information apparently crucial to the FAA. I see the request is actually coming from a third party sub contractor who is doing the job for the FAA. This is probably a good thing, they will probably do it cheaper, better, and quicker. Since I moved onto new property, almost 5 years ago now, I am still waiting for the Feds to show the change of my strip location on the SLC charts, maybe this private third party outfit can get it done if I indicate the new location on this form?
