WTB Edo 2870's

Looking for a pair of 2870's preferrably with 180 rigging and ready to go. I'm just north of Toronto, Ontario Seems to be lots out west.

The Good Lord does not deduct those days from our alloted quota, spent fishing, flying or with our Grandchildren.......

I agree. there are floats all over up there and some real good buys. The problem is the cost to ship them 2500 miles to where I am. So, I'll keep looking. Thanks

Anybody know which is the last model year Cessna 180 you can put on 2870s? Any thoughts on field approval for those not certified on 2870s. I understand that the 2870 is a nice float for the 180 compared to those long tails on the 2960s, but not sure if I can mount them. Mine is a '74 with 2800 gross weight.

Float shipment

If you can get someone to pack the floats well 2x4 frame etc., there is probably a freight consolidator in your area who arranges "space available" loads for independent truckers.

I shipped floats from Ontario to Seattle via Ohio. I told the guy that time was not critical and the floats got from Ontario to Ohio on one jump and hung out there for a couple of weeks until a flat bed that was facing a "dead head" back to Seattle was found.

As a result I got the floats here for about 1/2 what Yellow or Consolidated wanted to charge.

Cheers,

Tom

Tom, Thanks. Unfortunately time is a bit of an issue for this project
