WTB: Front seats for C-170B

I debated putting this in Marketplace, but I'm also interested in any tips that folks might be willing to share. Moderators please move if appropriate. Thanks.

I've decided that my 170B seats are getting pretty tired. Not just the upholstery, but the mechanical components as well. Where can a guy get a nice, matched set of front seats? I've cruised eBay, Beegles, Skywagon City, Texas Air Salvage and Flying Fish. There are a couple prospects, but it's hard to tell anything about the condition of the cams, rollers, etc from the pictures.

Right now I have articulating seats with height adjust on the pilot side, and square-ish seat backs. I would like to find similar, and send them out for the full-on power-coat and recover treatment. I don't think my old frames are worthy of the investment.

Anybody know what Cessna seats will fit a 170B, and which might be approved?

Anybody have some they'd like to sell?

Thanks

Lots of discussion on this on the 170 forum.

I would like a height adjustable pilots side at least.

I have a rear seat for sale if anyone is interested.

Check barnstormers under "Cessna 180". There's an ad for two "early 180/182 front seats" halfway down the first page, posted on april 26. $200 each. I'd bet they're not what you're looking for, but might be worth a call. Personally I like the early round-top seats-- my old 170 had a set of later-model seats with head rests (but no altitude adjustment) that a previous owner had installed, they were the first thing I changed. Funny, but I ran into that owner a few years later, and almost the first thing out of his mouth was "how do you like those seats I installed". He looked like his dog had just died when I told him I'd shit-canned them.
