Love your plane and another neat video. I've flown my 180 quite a few places but only once to Virginia. I was raised east of Richmond and need to do some flying out there before it's too late. That one trip from Iowa I went past Charleston and asked my passenger if he wanted to go under the New River Gorge Bridge.

Thanks, I’m definitely happy with how she’s flying after all the work! Haha yes, that is tempting, I’ve flown most of the New River Gorge pretty low, but always climbing out by the bridge!!!!! With it being upgraded from a National River to an actual National Park, I hope it doesn’t get the 2,000ft designation on the Sectional.

You mean it’s legal to fly under the bridge and you don’t? How far is that thing from KHCR? :)

I'd get some tips from Martha Lunken first before any bridge flying.

I did denote it being legal in my post.

I mean technically it was because of the transponder, being within 500ft of people and under a bridge….

“ My deliberate, egregious operation of an aircraft without an activated transponder and flying under a bridge within 500 feet of persons and structures showed disregard for the regulations, lack of compliance disposition, and defiance of safety regulations. Because I can’t be trusted to conform, I lack the qualifications to hold an airman certificate.”
