Yellowmaule can I mow your lawn?

I love the pics. You are living the dream in a full shred-fest playground. Do you need someone to like mow your lawn or be the pool boy from like September 1 to October 15? I'll even mow on the diagonal every other week and check the oil!
You had it goin' on in WA. Now you just made us all your bitch, hands down.

If you're not scarin' yourself, you're not scarin' the crowd!

Keep in mind, it would probably be like this:

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

That would still not be be as sweet as shredding the Mat valley/Susitna. But insane, yes. Seems a bit high on the CG for the base of support/speed.

Hey 'G3,
Sorry, somehow I missed your note. I think was out for awhile.
Yeah, this place has been pretty amazing. The biggest problem is figuring out choosing what to do and when. Lots of activities depending on your taste.
The interim period now has not been so fun. Starting yesterday, single digit temps and 35-45mph gusting 75-80. As my daughter says; NOT COOL!
Other than that, we have a couple of guys on skis on our lake. I've got ours prepped, just waiting on a little more snow. Even the deeper lakes are getting almost thick enough ice now. Rumor has it some are as much as 10" already.
Flying here is as challenging as it is beautiful. I've recently jumped over to McGrath, Russian Mission, Bethel and a long route home through the incomprable Lake Clark. Two thoughts pervade throughout; Weather & Fuel, Weather & Fuel.
I only took one picture, the battery went South almost immediately. Low tech stuff indeed.
Went deer hunting in Prince William Sound this last week only got a couple and bailed due to this weather system. Lucky we did too. Hope to get more hunting in there in the next couple of weeks. Few places on Earth could be more beautiful. Ice fishing should begin here real soon. We won't even begin talk of the Spring Bear & Caribou plans...
Like I said, lots to do. Looking at the upcoming hunting/fishing seasons, I'll have to plan it around work. Or vice-versa!
Anyone who finds their way to this part of the world, drop me a note, the welcome mat is always out.
Kurt

We are only an hour North of Los Anchorage so we don't quite get the 24 hour thing going like the Interior and farther Northern regions. Now, we have dawn at about 8:45 and dusk about 4:30. The shortest times seem to be a month on either side of the Winter Solstice, Decemer 21st. At worst, 4-5 hours of light.
Dark doesn't dim the activities too much unless you let it. Snowmachining, skiing, etc. All we need is some snow though. The last week we've had a great deal of wind, 30-40 gusting 70-80 with single digits. Not a lot of fun. No flying anyway. Hopefully, we'll get out to the cabin this weekend. The lake at the cabin has about 10"+ now but only and inch or so left on the ground. We'll have a good ice base this year though. Getting the skis prepped this weekend and putting the tie downs in the ice in front of the house. The "in between" of seasons is the hardest part.
