Yesterday Was My Last Flight...

...as a Marathon Oil pipeline inspector. They went with a new company.

It has been fun, now I need to hold my wet finger up to the wind and see what's next?

Sorry about that, Patrol. Hopefully you move on to bigger and better things! We (BCPers) all will follow along on your next adventure/saga.

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)
With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Sorry to hear you lost your contract. I hope the lowest bidder doesn't turn out to be a problem for them. And, I sincerely hope you find another gig shortly. With your experience and skills, I would suspect you won't be idle very long.

And, thanks for the video. A nice collection. And, asking Bobby Zimmerman to accompany it was right on.

I think there's a need for a couple of pipeline patrol pilots in Southeast Texas. Local guy has a contract and lost a couple of his pilots.

Re: Yesterday Was My Last Flight...

Very cool! Sorry to hear about your contract. Bum deal.

What are you using to start all those fires. Maybe the FS or BLM could use your for starting backfires :D . We used to have helicopters that would drop ping pong balls that had some sort of powder in them. Right before they went out, a little antifreeze was injected in them. About 10 seconds later, you had a ball of fire.
