I'm actually pleased that we have a few federal employees on here. The two FAA guys that I know of have been helpful in offering real information and correcting common misconceptions, as has our token Park Service 170 driver. Whether or not you agree with the policies of their employer is irrelevant to their participation in this forum.
They're pilots, and having access to them to pick their brains is actually a good thing for us.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
"token"? Isn't that discriminatory?

Just kidding, no reason to take this to Hot Air.
But,
Maybe a sticky advising people that anything said on any public forum is akin to posting it on a highway sign board? I know it's common sense, but mistakes have been made in the past of course.

The Newbie's Guide covers that, and should be reviewed on occasion even by the long timers.

Heard tell of having a little sport with those boys down near the border. Daylight, good autopilot, pilot in the back seat under a blanket.
S'pose somebody would really do that?

If I had an airplane with an autopilot and enough space to get in the back seat safely in flight, you bet I would!
