Anyone have experience with Zenair straight float kits, especially the new ones made since production moved from the Czech Republic? I'm thinking about 2200s for a Bearhawk Patrol, and am mostly interested in how they handle on the water and how they stand up in use.

Get in touch with Montana Floats. No experience with the new Zenair floats, but the Montana floats are excellent.

The advantage to the homebuilt market will be the labor cost savings of building your own.
http://www.zenairfloats.com/1700-1900-2200-2500.htmlThis is a set of unused factory built 1450's for sale on Barnstormers and the seller claims he has 17000 invested.
http://www.barnstormers.com/Experimenta ... ifieds.htm MTV has good advice about the Montana floats. For recent first timer install and a flying report, PM worldvoyagers here on BCP. Phil put the Montana 2800's on his Tundra.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.
That second link to the Barnstormers ad is for amphibious floats....a significant difference in cost of both the kit and labor to build.
