Yes, 35-40 Knots and you even have enough speed to stop the decent for a soft touchdown. At 30 knots decent rate with power on, your rate of sink will be around 300 fpm but it will handle that impact just fine giving you the shortest possible landing. I personally like 40 knots (45 mph) as my shortest field speed but have done it at 40mph when the air is smooth and made it look good. Yuriy is better than I am really short landings. For the Oshkosh pattern you have to approach at 45-50 mph or you will float. It is a great airplane with a decent cruise speed of 100-110 depending on tire size and prop pitch. Ground adjustable for us Light Sport Pilots. I would love to do an inflight adjustable prop as they can in Australia. That might wake up the cruise speed and decrease take-off roll. Those wheel pants probably won't last forever on that runway but available the larger tires would sweeten its back country comfort. It is one of the few airplanes that "IF" you can land there you can get back out. No tail wind of course. And when departing if you hold Vx or Vy indefinitely you can glide back to the airfield. I love to demonstrate that move. More than one person said it feels like a helicopter when taking off into a big head wind.
