Moab was great, Arches motel will run out and pick you up, have great breakfast, and run you back to the airport. They will even run you down town for dinner. Guys at Red Eagle are nice. left there and went up thru Price and over the pass, few bumps with the wind blowing about 35,,
One question, Who put all those dam windmills at the bottom of the grade at Spanish Fork????
They were a surprise! The dam tops of the blades were in the clouds? Kinda makes it hard to get thru!! I think I have to update my 696! Guys at Spanish Forks Airport were great, nice crew car.
Some pretty crappy weather but flyable.
Just south of the little pass to Burley I had to turn around as snow was sticking to the windshield Was cruising the edges of the hills to get all the lift to make that pacer smoke and went right over a big ol silver wolf on a ridge top, made a quick 180 and caught up with him again, I think he new about aircraft as when I made another turn he was gone. Was IFR(I followed the road) into Burly.
Caldwell kind sucks after Moab, only room I could find has been smoked in for the last 5 years, had to find a cab, tho the phone in the pilots lounge worked?
Supposed to be sunshine tomorrow all the way home.

Couple of things to fix on it, but the guy I got it from said make everything work and send him a bill. Radio doesn't have any voice on it just a carrier? Tried some different head phones to see if mine had a messed up mike but they did not work any better. Makes it kind of nice, haven't had to talk to anyone at all!

Sounds like an adventure!

Too bad I wasn't home in Idaho to help you out. I've got a new home, never smoked in. And two spare rooms with comfy beds. Maybe next time. Interesting day you had today (Friday). Hopefully the rest of your trip goes well.

Now guys I did not go thru the blades.
Flew down the Snake river canyon, first time for me, that's pretty nice. Lots of people fishing all along, Someone in a white black and red Maule is camping with a bigtop tent on the first strip going down the canyon on the Idaho side, Sure looks like a beautiful spot to camp.
A couple of guys on one of the resivours in one of those low slung bass boats. Almost passed me, but he had to stop when we got to the dam!! I kept going.
Made it home, thanks for everyone's thoughts and help.
Was a good trip!
