Ha ha, as macho as we all like to think being a pilot makes us, it really is pretty undemanding phsically, even girls can do it! Old men also. Maybe even old women.
Another huge good thing about flying, with just enough luck to beat the medical you can do it as a codger. I hear the hang glider pilot ranks are shrinking as the physical demands are much higher, and the pilots are aging, a good buddy of mine I used to fly HG with still does it, but it kicks his ass.....I'm glad I transitioned out of it and now can look forward to many more years of codger flying.
That reminds me, I'll be flying with 93 year old ex Corsair/Cub/50 yr crop duster career pilot Jim shortly, in his restored '48 170. He isn't current since getting one armed detached (tractor PTO

) and sewed back on, mostly. He is REALLY looking forward to a little flight time in it before it goes on the market, it will be interesting to see how he does.
