Watching it now. I got onto it about 1/3 of the way through the hour-long episode 1 (of 4).
Looks like the same area & type of flying that IndoPilot used to post about on here.
Thanks for posting about this Bill, it's pretty interesting so far.
I've always been intrigued with Pilatus Porters so just watching the flying part is pretty cool.

I watched it last night. Some of the narrative is hyperbolic, but not nearly as bad as either Airplane Repo or Flying Wild Alaska. And the flying seems pretty straight-forward and believable. Some of those air strips would be daunting for even the best among us!

Just watched airplane repo for the first (and probably last) time last night. Repo man snowshoed in, bivouacking overnight under a tree with a small fire to hold off the wolves, to snatch a supercub on skis.
Some cool aerial footage of Alaska mountain ranges, but typical phony "reality show" drama. Also showed them repo'ing a twin, with their big burly thug having to fend off (and hold down) the enraged owner. In real life, I think somebody woulda got themselves shot on that one.

185bushbird here on BCP was on an episode. They used his 180 as the "repo plane" and he and another guy paddled into some Florida backwater to "repo" it. Completely fabricated entertainment.

So glad the TV series has finally made it Stateside! For those of you who didn't get to see it via YouTube or elsewhere, I hope you enjoy it. If it's the same edit as the one shown in the UK last year, I'll be featured in episodes 3 and 4 :)

Glad to see you chimed in! I was going to mention you showed up in this show. I saw that Patty Wagstaff shared your video with scenes from the show in her Facebook feed today, too. I watched it all over again - I'm kind of an airplane geek that way...

Re: Air Pressure program on Discovery Channel

I think if you search for "Worst Place to be a Pilot" on YouTube it should come up. Channel 4 who commissioned the series obviously don't like them being available for free, so they disappear from time to time until someone puts them back up.

Re: Air Pressure program on Discovery Channel

The British flying reality shows are so much better than ours. They have so much less manufactured drama. There's another called "Bush pilots," our something like it on YouTube. It's about flying in Botswana. I think it has about four seasons.

IndoPilot, I watched both episodes and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Hope to get through the rest on youtube while they're up. Thanks for letting us know where to find it. Nice flying!

Re: Air Pressure program on Discovery Channel

What happened to "Air Pressure" on the Discovery Channel? I enjoyed the first two episodes, but haven't seen #3 or 4 listed. When I checked the Discovery Channel website, it said the program wasn't scheduled. WTF?
