Rendered some video flying to and from the backcountry ski resorts. Have a coffee or a glass of wine, sit back and enjoy the ride.

4/20/13 - back country conditions still good in the Chugach Mountains. Warmer weather in the forecast so it may all fall apart soon.

Can't wait to watch on a big screen. Just landed from what may be our last hurrah. Still real snowy up in Fox 3, but hard, crusty skiing conditions. Need a refresh before I get too busy or lose the snow off my home runway.

I flew over Root Canal yesterday. You can see a couple tents in the lower center and you can just make out the landing tracks. Moose's Tooth is about 10,300', and Ham and Eggs is about 3,000' of climbing, so Root Canal should be a little over 7K. Talk about a one-way strip.

And getting denied on the powder quest on Saturday. Still a great time. The Talkeetnas were still supposed to be good as of Friday.

Thanks for that picture. Looks as intimidating from the top as it looks from the side. Next time I am in TKA I will do some talking with the folks that do it daily. See if they want to share the secrets.

Precip in the forecast for Anchorage, may get a couple of inches of snow at the higher elevations. A few more powder runs to be had... maybe.
