Along the Penobscot...

Nothing special... but a quick clip of the campground at KLRG, taking off, then cruising along the Penobscot on my way to Bath, ME for the fly in. Dog days of summer....

What are you, some sort of vi/awk/sed guy? 8)

When I hear "Penobscot" I think of Donald Penobscot, Hot Lips Houlihan's fiance on M*A*S*H.

Re: Along the Penobscot...

I went to college in Castine, just a short distance from there (Maine Maritime Academy). I used to live on Deer Isle when I was young. My folks still live there up near Holton. My current airplane is from Maine too. Until I moved to AK I thought I might want to move back to Maine some day. It's real pretty.

Great Vid. I almost got homesick for a moment.

Hi bigrenna, I was the Maule that you came nose-to-nose with  on your way to "Two Fools" on Sat. morning as I was on my way to Belfast. We met at our Bowman Field Fly-In on Aug. 29th. on your way home from a trip up north. You parked next to us up in the corner.
The fantastic campground at Lincoln was mostly created by David Loyld, town manager of Lincoln, and Steve, and Lisa Williams of the Maine Aeronautics Association. That campground is a great, and rare treat.
Also KLRG is where PK Floats are back in production.
