I am looking for a recommendation for an AME in Twin Falls Id. Who should I call?

Re: AME

I don’t know about any over there. If you have to come east there is a good one in Rigby and a guy in Jackson Hole that I think specializes in cases where the pilot has lost or is at risk of losing their medical.

Re: AME

Thanks Whee, I am in the market for a new to me plane and need to fly it home to Alaska, so my Basic Med won't get it through Canada.
Do you know of any good buys on planes around there? I think a Super Stinson is what I am looking for but would consider most anything else that is a real good deal.

Re: AME

Nothing comes to mind right away. A couple different guys were talking about selling their basically stock Stinsons but they haven’t done anything about it. I’ll put some feelers out. What’s the time frame?

I’d be interested to hear about any Stinson’s as well for a local friend, especially if it has a float kit installed already.

Re: AME

Years ago when I lived in Twin I used a guy in Wendell, which isn't too far away. I looked him up just now(Mark Spencer I believe was who it was) and the FAA shows he is still there. Anyway, he was super nice and easy to work with at that time, even with my medical history. Most all of the folks around there that I knew used him. You might look him up. There is also a Stinson here in Caldwell that I've seen for sale locally and sitting on the ramp. It looks a little rough but it has a O-470 on it and might be close to what you are looking for. I think it was a -3 if I remember correctly, but I can get the info for you if you'd like. Good luck! Luke

AME in Jackson is Dr. Brent Blue, a senior HIMS AME who does mostly deal with challenging cases. He's my AME and does a great job. He also sees patients out of a hangar in Driggs, ID.
