ATT: South West Flyers,Kennedy Meadow, Tunnel Meadow, Temple

Kennedy Meadow, Tunnel Meadow, Templeton Meadow, and Monache Meadow.
We are starting a list of names and contact info for anyone interested in the restoration of these airstrips; there is a group of us that would like to peruse the reopening of these airstrips, right now I’m just trying to find interested parties. Rick the new manager at Kernville airport is also on board and supportive along with the RAF, local ranchers and private pilots alike. Anyone interested in making this happen can e-mail Rick the Kernville airport manager at [email protected] or call Rick at 760-376-2870. If He’s not at the airport please leave a message and He will get back to you. He will start a list of names in support of this effort to get these strips opened again. The longest journey always begins with a first step.

Re: ATT: South West Flyers,Kennedy Meadow, Tunnel Meadow, Te

Sorry for not getting back to everyone sooner. I’m at the airport this weekend and not on the internet very much.

So for I’ve got responses from:
Desertrat
Mark
Dan
Scott
Porterjet
Emory
And a few more, Keep them coming.

After this weekend I’ll be getting back to everyone that has offered their help to confirm e-mail and phone numbers.

I did talked to the chief ranger responsible for the Chicken strip and he is still waiting for paperwork to come back before we can get in there to get it fixed up. He is a nice guy and trying to get this done for us. I will let you know when something happens.

I'll be back down in SoCal next month and it looks like I might be stuck down there working in the office for the rest of the year :( . I'll be more than happy to help out if my work schedule allows it! So count me in, too. Would be great to get away form the "Snake Pit' on some of those weekends off :D

Re: ATT: South West Flyers,Kennedy Meadow, Tunnel Meadow, Te

Hope I did not over step my bounds, I sent this to the RAF on our behalf.
Last week we started a list of members of the BCP “Back Country Pilots” that were interested in the political support and maintenance of the airstrips in the south west, Kennedy Meadow, Tunnel Meadow, Templeton Meadow, Monache Meadow and others. We are using Rick Loch Kernville airport manager L05 as the coordinator, so far we have a list of approximately twenty volunteers from the BCP and the number is growing. Please contact Rick so that he can notify BCP volunteers when we can get a date to repair the chicken strip. e-mail Rick, [email protected] or call Rick at 760-378-3870. If He’s not at the airport please leave a message and He will get back to you. I believe that I am speaking for all of us when I tell you that we are all in support of the RAF and their efforts to restore and preserve our recreational airstrips.
