Jeeze, I feel like a pedophile.
I'm 60 and she's 3 1/2 !! Guess I'm more of a grandpaw to her. I like taking her out for a stroll. Sometimes we go really far 'cause we just don't want to stop. I love it when folks come by and pinch her cheeks. When we get home, we are both tired. I put her to bed, give her a hug and turn out the lights.

I'm 53 and I've been flying for a while. My Dad started me in sailplanes at 14, and then by 17 he bought a Luscombe. I had a few breaks when I couldn't afford to fly.
I found the only way I could make a living in avation was in helicopter flying (Thanks to the Army), and my career took off.(For some reason, I couldn't get anywhere in Airplanes.) Now I miss the fun flying I did in my Dad's Luscombe and the Champ I used to own. I'm hoping to build or rebuild something fun this next year.

Hmm. Well if the TBO of a male is 84 I am a little over half way to being run out. I died once and was sent to the morgue, coronor decided I didn't have any value for a rebuildable core so he tied a yellow tag on my toe and returned me back into service. :o

I wish this site was around when I was 14. I'm the only pilot in the history of my family so reference and info weren't what you would call readilly available like this. Good for you and I don't mind talking to younger guys, I am one :)

Let's see if I remember how to land this thing.

Hi guys, looks like a subject where I can chime in without making anybody mad. I am 42 and my new baby maule is 11. Can't stop looking at her. Funny fact; I could legally fly a plane by myself before I could legally drive a car by myself. Started when I was 14. Only weighed 104lbs and was 5'4", Almost had to have blocks made for the rudder pedals in the 170. Boy could the plane perform on solo!

Thanks, Shawn, that explains a lot...I suddenly feel a whole lot better about my flying abilities vs my experience level. :?

Hi Doug, sorry to here about your situation. I wish Shelly and I could have spent more time with you and Alyce at the lodge last summer. Hope things work out so we might get to hang out this year. Take care

Geezz I feel old. 58 I fly young airplanes though. 1974, and 1973 models. Best thing I ever did was learn to fly. Only regret, that I didn't make it my career.

Hiya there!! Me and my one-every-century posts!

Found this one as an easy to follow thread where I could answer in this five minutes in front of the screen :!: (dunno why I used the :!: thing... maybe cause it´s underused...?)

Whatever, I´m on my young 29 winters and my beloved Reims Rocket is on her 37. I´m her toy-boy, you know. Seems anyway that she prefers a young sporty, handsome, good looking, attractive young man now, and an old fart then, cause she´s changed boyfriends four times since she was born doing exactly that. I see she´s looking at a man on his seveties lately... mmm... Maybe I play pimps and sell her love.

See y´all in another easy to follow thread!
