Yeah but I'm glad they are tracking Queenslanders. Shifty little barstards. The rules in this country do my head in. It's so un Australian. Good news is though you don't have to go far out bush to find the true Wild West.

Nice break from the heat and smoke higher up in the mountains last week.

Awesome video. Nice to see some sky after all that smoke. Crazy summer.

I've been AoG with a brake issue, hopefully will get that sorted in the next couple days then grab some of that flying for myself. I see someone posted a trip in Phantom Lake on the local FB page. That is on my list too.

I'm looking for someone local to give me floatplane instruction. Floats going on next week. If you happen to know someone, please fire me a note.

Arghhh feel for you mate, nothing builds patience like having the plane down and blue sky. Awesome news on the floats though, I was gonna have the Scout on floats this summer too, bought the rigging then got distracted buying a project plane, now my toy fund is dwindling! The few local float guys I know are slammed this time of the year sorry mate, I'll ask my mechanic though he does a bunch on floats.

Come up for a fly sometime!

No mate I haven't been up that end of the valley since the Hydro project just started. This is a ways NNE, in the alpine, DA usually around 7000 in summer. I don't like posting the location online, bit of a sensitive area but if you're up this way holla out!

I know an awesome float instructor who will instruct you in your own plane. I think he lives in North Van so it might even work with you in Squamish. I can PM you his contact info if you're interested.
