Bart's Flight Log

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Bart's Flight Log

Thanks for the very kind words guys, much appreciated!

Here's some more pics from a nice evening flight yesterday. It's a place I've been to a few times before and one of the cooler landing spots I know in this area. I was eyballing some cumulus clouds over the area from the airport earlier in the day and thought it would be cool to take a flight over and get some shots with the setting sun.

The wind picked up a bit while I was there which made my downhill, downwind takeoff a little more sporty than I like, but the good ole cub didn't let me down.

Yes, it is. I keep hearing they are going to re-open it, but once that happens I might not be able to land there anymore #-o

Probably similar to the area "we" used to do 4x4 riding till some "ologist" cried foul over asbestos. #-o [-X

Re: Bart's Flight Log

Usually it seems when these places close, it's due to urban sprawl.
Saddleback Park in Orange County CA for example.
Ditto racing venues- - for example the famous Ascot Park in Gardena CA.
