BCP stickers (poll ended)

Getting some vinyl stickers made up.

Here are the winners (will have both available at some point). Thanks for voting. The emblem logo will probably find its way onto this year's T-shirt.

Re: BCP stickers

Perhaps .org would be ok. But I think it looks odd without that dot. My 2 cents.

Re: BCP stickers

The Org definitely needs a '.'

I think BackCountryPIlot looks better but the .ORG is necessary if you want people to make the connection to the site.

Re: BCP stickers

No .org! When I see anything ORGanic all I can think of is Bullshit( that makes things grow..organically grown). Since I'm no "Greenie" and definitely not an ORGanic freek, I say can the .org and feed it to someone else.

Re: BCP stickers

How about a second line in much smaller font: "www.backcountrypilot.org" ?

Re: BCP stickers

What are the stickers for?

Marketing....

1. The fact your a "Backcountry Pilot and you want everyone to know by having a big sticker on your gear or bumper

or

2. .Org represents this site and drives more traffic to it and more conversation from folks that find it. AND you can still place it on your bumper to show that your a Backcountry pilot.

NO Brainer Zane...You have to have the .Org. Thats what it is.

If you leave the org, you have to put in the dot.

Re: BCP stickers

You could leave the ORG off & underneath it in a smaller font make a reference to a Secret Society.

Then curious onlookers will be more apt to look it up.

Don't think "organic".....
Think "ORGASMIC",
The only thing better'n back country flying....

I voted for the "bare" version, but I see the value to increasing site traffic for both the site, and for Zane. Truthfully I can live happily with either version ( maybe half height ".org" ?).

Might significantly more site traffic in a short time dilute the "flavor" of what we have/enjoy/value on this site? I don't know the answer, just asking the question.
I know I wouldn't be fond of a large increase in back country strip traffic over a short time......

Selfish I guess....

Re: BCP stickers

Okay, my 2 cents says if you're going to have the org, you gotta have the "." however, I like the big Backcountry Pilot letters...that gets the attention first then I a smaller white lettering for the backcountrypilot.org would lead them there. For example, the logo at the header of the forum has a smaller lettering that says "ONLINE AVIATION COMMUNITY" I think maybe a hair bigger with the link instead would work great.

Whatever you do, I WANT ONE!

Re: BCP stickers

OK...at this point 87% in favor of NO ORG as per the stats.
IMHO Org as depicted is a little intrusive, but smaller letters (1/4 of present size) would represent a point of contact or reference and a feeling of belonging to an association as oppossed to just a cool ("Rad" for you younger dudes) sticker.
Regardless, majority wins...

Re: BCP stickers

I voted for the .org, but like this:

BACKCOUNTRYPILOT.org

Color to optional (to Z's liking) but I like the above suggestions of smaller size .org

Stickers look good Zane!

All kidding aside, this is a great board where even old pilots can learn something...

BTW sticker colors are nice and striking...and what's that about shirts? Did I miss that thread?
