Re: BCP stickers

I voted for the .org, but like this:

BACKCOUNTRYPILOT.org

Color to optional (to Z's liking) but I like the above suggestions of smaller size .org

Stickers look good Zane!

ps..... tried to copy the one with colors but my puter is colorblind today. haha

Re: BCP stickers

If they are interested they can google it and find out it's an org not a com. I voted for option one but I'm quite sure that using the .org will bring more traffic to the site and I'm all for that for Zzz's sake. I'd proudly display either one.

Re: BCP stickers

As with some others, I'm not opposed to the ORG as much as the proposed layout that includes the ORG. So, of the two presented, I voted for the first.

Is what it says on the banner on top of the page. Best of both worlds. I am sure everybody's google works.

I honestly couldn't care less about getting more traffic or signups. We're at a good size now, but I like to get the attention of key people so that we can help the RAF, et al.

To me, the stickers are like the T-shirts and hats. They help members identify each other out in the wild so they can meet in person without having to ask "hey are you on BCP?" I also want one for my helmet. 8)

When you're on the website, it's not necessary to append the ORG to the logo because you already know you're on a website and the web address is there to plainly see.

One time my mom visited Alaska and she brought me home a leather ballcap that said "Alaska Bush Pilot." Bless her heart, but I've never worn it because it just such a poser thing to state what you are. That's the problem with having a noun as your trademark. So, it's all about context and not looking like a poser.

I think we'll go with the .org on the stickers and continue to use it on shirts and hats, which are on my list of things to do after the new website.

Re: BCP stickers

Zzz,

1) Well, that indirectly answers my question on shirts
2) Posting a pic of your helmet...would be nice.
3) I have no problem being called a poser...but I'll slide my log book under the nose of anyone who calls me that...
4) I always wanted an "Alaska Bush Pilot" hat...
5) The only thing I meet in the wild on this East side of the Rockies is bears and wolves.
But I digress.

An old cop rule to live by was, "Never stop a car with more than four bumperstickers, because the owner is batshit crazy."

When I was a young deputy, I learned the hard way how true that is.

Oh you know you'll plaster one somewhere on your truck or plane. 8)

I reset the poll with new options. I'll check back tomorrow. No hurry, the new website is calling me, and you guys will be able to order them once that's launched. Priorities.

Re: BCP stickers (poll reset/additional designs)

Awesome ideas! You have a great eye for design.

I like the red logo a lot, but also the one with the mountains. It'd be awesome to see the mountains one with more of a sunset gradient (red-orange) than a twilight one.

Love the green emblem style one. The others are a bit gaudy for where I would put it.

Re: BCP stickers (poll reset/additional designs)

I gotta agree with point 338,although those peaks look nothing like the mountains around here. The airplane also looks more like a super cub than a 180,but being a newbie I can't bitch. ;-)
Ps.my son tells me I should introduce myself before posting,I promise once I can think up some good lies I will do just that. Nice designs Zzz.
