I think that the optimum tires for my 182 for what I do is a 600x6 up front and 700x6 on the mains. Now that I am almost home I need to get serious about changing a few things on the plane.
I am still in Vernal, UT and was looking at a 206. It had a cast fork with a 600x6 wheel and tire. Looked exactly like the one that is curently on my plane but is swollen a little.
I have also seen them with an aluminum strap type fork that looks as if it had been bent around an anvil.
I am assuming that either one would work.
Also the 310 fork will work. Will a fork off a 400 series plane work.
Then the big question is doe anybody have one of these in your hanger and need to make room for something else?
I can put the 700's on the existing wheels with no problem. I just need to find the nose fork.
