Double engine failure at low altitude over Manhattan, everyone walks away unhurt and no damage to people or property on the ground? Call me old-fashioned, but it doesn't matter what anything in between the failure and the rescue looked like, it was the RIGHT and PERFECT procedure! :D

It wasn't a great landing, but it was a good one...

I find this pic interesting cause those are rabbit tracks leading into the landing zone.... someone didn't walk away but rather flew away.

We don't know the particulars of this crash, but way too many fatalities result from the pilots attempt to prevent an incident. The pilots attempt to prevent an incident too often results from unrealistic emergency training. We used to, like Sully, put it on the ground or in the river and sort it out. Emergency procedures used to be very simple. Land as soon as possible anywhere survivable. I'm not talking about little things, but about those things when your gut tells you to land, soon.

Oh, this pic is totally a raptor catching its prey and leaving with it, but most people don't read sign very well... 8)
