Cant beat the early 180 & 182's. Nice and light.

Just remember the nose gear on the 182 is for stearing not landing :)

And I am looking forward to Skylane coming over to see me. As a bonus he has a seat that will fix my seat problem. I need all the help I can get as I am in the middle of and annual, and I have a clyinder off getting it fixed. and I have to have one flap reskinned on the top ( read cracks). So the seat Bub has is a God send. I had met Bub one time when he came to a fly-in I had. Bob

Sorry Bob that I didn't make it over. Anyway Charlie said he would bring the seat over Monday.

My son and I were moving a upright freezer and I strained my lower back. Spent an hour on the floor this am, trying to get up to the chair. Man this sucks!

How much wider is the 62 and later 182's then the 61 and before.

The '61 and earlier 182's had indentical cabin dimensions to the 180 series, 40.25 inches wide at the lower window level.

The later models are about 4 inches wider, depending on armrest style. It makes a significant difference in the feel of spaciousness, particularly for the rear seat occupants, and the rear window adds a lot to that.

I was in a partnership with a 182B and got out. Just got back from Rhoad Island with a 182B that I bought back there.

Strait tail 182 to a strait tail 182. Hard to upgrade when you already have a great plane. Now all I have to do is get the extended bagage and a big nose fork.

Landis fork, larger prop, bigger engine, no back seat. Call Wup put bush wheels on, no longer nose heavy.

Just think Bruce is an OK guy. He is looking out for my best interest cus He thinks that I am getting old and I need help spending my money.

I should put him and Wup on my check book. Or should I just send them my Visa card.

Oh and the early 182's are not nose heavy.

Picking the plane up in Providance, RI. Peter and Eve Polumbo got into a parnership with this plane in 1970. Became sole owners in 1977. They loved the plane but his last physical was tough to pass.

Eve is really great, she made me a lunch for the first leg of the trip home.

Don't you just love those huge easy to read N numbers

Hello Gentlemen,
Just found this forum and already I am hooked. I also have a '66 stock 182 with original paint and interior (yellow/black) and have grown quite fond of it. I fly out of a grass strip 2200' with obstacle on each end. No problem in the cooler months but warmer days bring some excitement with it. Have been considering doing some mods and this seems to be a great place to obtain information. Anyway thats another thread. Just wanted to say hello. You guys won't hold it against me being a female will you? Any other women pilots lurking around?

Will try to post a pic later.
